*hangs head in shame*

I hate this body kit. Ruin a perfectly good G35.

edit: oh my goodddddddd the color doesn't even match

Well, at least I know this could've been the result of the R35 GT-R being based on the Skyline again.

Ouch. Did he at least do his taillights GT-R style?

Given how much time he spent on his headlights (read: no time, DAT OXIDIZATION) I'm gonna guess no.

Kinja'd!!!

These front clip conversions tend to always look a bit tacky. There was a time when every redneck here in Germany had one of these on their MKIII Golf.

Damn it! I've always wanted to see a G35 with round taillights.

Has anyone ever done a round taillight conversion on a G35? I can't believe it if there's been no attempt.

Imagine what a conversation with the owner must be like...

"You keep saying panel gap. What is 'panel gap?' What does that mean?"

Not that I've seen. the 05-06 coupes and sedans had a round taillight inset, so the easiest thing to do would be to black out the rest of the light. I think the taillights look pretty good though.

I broke flickr so it isn't letting me upload anymore at the moment but nothing special around this area, in the back was a 911 GT3 RS in the parking lot. Not the show, the parking lot.

Believe it or not, I've never seen one of those kits installed without that absurd gap.

They even incorporated the LFA panel gap air duct!

I'm guessing the hood is curved slightly. Happened a lot in the VW MKIV Golf/Jetta circles, too. The VW emblem sat about an inch or so above and below the grille line, and sat in a little groove that was cut out of the hood and bumper.

So if you bought a badgeless grille kit (of which there were many) you also had to fill the new gaps that were left behind with something. Some kits included little plastic caps, but they'd have to be painted and lots of people are just lazy or cheap, so there were a lot running around that looked like this:

Kinja'd!!!

"Eh, I'll get around to it after I install euro headlights and drop it 3 inches"

But then it just got left that way.

Yea it is, but the body kit was made specifically for this car. Why not make it fit the hood? There's not an aftermarket hood that will fill that gap
